Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 15, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to 3DMyPhoto.com. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our web application to convert 2D photos into 3D models.

2. Information We Collect

  • Personal Information: We collect your Google user ID, email address, and profile image when you sign in. This is used solely for account management and authentication.
  • Uploaded Images: We collect the images you upload for the purpose of generating 3D models. These images are processed by our AI pipeline and stored securely.
  • Generated Models: The resulting 3D model files (.obj, .glb, etc.) are stored and associated with your account.
  • Payment Information: All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card details on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain our services.
  • To process your transactions and manage your subscriptions/credits.
  • To improve our AI models and develop new features. Uploaded images may be used anonymously for training purposes to enhance the quality of our service.
  • To communicate with you, including sending service updates or responding to support requests.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service Providers: Google for authentication, Stripe for payment processing, and the Shopify platform for merchants using our Shopify App (see section 8).
  • AI Providers: Product photos submitted for 3D generation are processed by third-party AI services including Google Gemini, Replicate, Fal.ai, Synexa, and Tencent Cloud. Photos are sent only for the purpose of generating 3D models.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Microsoft Azure (United States) for application hosting, database storage, and file storage.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law.

5. Data Security & Retention

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. Your uploaded images and generated models are stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We retain your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information. You can manage your generated models within your collection. For full account deletion, please contact us at support@3dmyphoto.com.

7. International Data Transfers

Our servers and data storage are located in the United States. If you use our services from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where applicable, such transfers are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent transfer mechanisms.

8. 3DMyPhoto for Shopify App

This section applies specifically to merchants who install and use our Shopify App. It supplements the general sections above.

8.1 Data We Collect from Shopify Merchants

  • Shop Information: Your Shopify shop domain, shop name, and the OAuth access token and refresh token issued by Shopify when you install the App. Tokens are required for the App to operate on your behalf and are never logged in plaintext.
  • Product Catalog: Product titles, handles, identifiers, image URLs, variant pricing, and vendor information from your Shopify store. Used to let you select products for 3D generation and to attach generated models to the correct product.
  • Generated 3D Models: The source photo you chose, any remake instructions you provided, and the resulting 3D model file (GLB format), including its thumbnail, revision history, and the Shopify product media ID it was published under.
  • Subscription Records: Plan code, billing interval, price, status transitions, and the raw Shopify webhook payloads for each change. Actual payment instruments are handled exclusively by Shopify's Billing API — we never see or store them.

8.2 Storefront Customer Data

The 3DMyPhoto Shopify App does not collect any personal data about storefront shoppers. We do not access customer names, emails, addresses, order history, or payment information. Our app requests only the read_products, write_products, and write_files scopes, none of which grant access to customer data. We do not use cookies or tracking pixels on the merchant's storefront.

8.3 Data Retention and Deletion

  • While installed: Your shop metadata, product catalog, generated models, and subscription history are retained so you can use the App.
  • On uninstall: We immediately clear your access tokens, cancel active subscriptions in our database, and attempt to remove published 3D models from your Shopify product pages.
  • 48 hours after uninstall: Shopify sends us a shop/redact data deletion request. Our handler permanently deletes your shop record and all associated data (subscriptions, jobs, products, and revision logs) from our database.
  • Early deletion: To request deletion before the 48-hour window, email support@3dmyphoto.com and we will process it within 5 business days.

8.4 GDPR Compliance

We implement all three mandatory Shopify GDPR webhooks:

  • customers/data_request and customers/redact — acknowledged with 200 OK. No action required because we do not store storefront customer data.
  • shop/redact — triggers permanent deletion of all merchant data as described above.

For GDPR purposes, 3DMyPhoto acts as a data processor for merchant data received via Shopify's Admin API. The merchant is the data controller. Merchants in the EEA, UK, or equivalent jurisdictions may exercise their rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port their data by emailing support@3dmyphoto.com. We respond within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to active users. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
